Selena is dreaming of a jewelry business. Fulfilling this dream provides her with the supplies she needs for an entrepreneurship program that helps develop business skills and brand development. Selena spent thirteen years in the foster care system. She said her biggest challenges have been, “Homelessness, struggle with basic necessities such as food, safety, and career growth.” Selena has a part-time job as well as selling her jewelry creations.
Selena is a kind and independent go-getter. She said, “My mindset is unique from most because of the adversity in my life I'm able to remain a kind person with resilience. I decided to pursue more in life because of my past, by starting a small business.” In her free time, she enjoys bike riding, camping, and crafts.
