Karla is dreaming of help with tuition. Fulfilling this dream helps fund her education to become a social worker.
Karla spent close to nine years in the foster care system. She shared, “I have tried my best to continue my education through the years which now I am at a Master’s Degree program. Financially I struggle a lot due to demands of my internship. I have had to be homeless several times through the years.” Karla dreams of one day starting her own foster care program for youth aging out of foster care.
In her free time she enjoys journaling, being with friends, and playing video games. Her ideal weekend would be spent at the beach watching the sunset.
