Sarah

Sarah was placed in foster care at 11 years old and aged out out the system at 18. She's known by those around her as a young woman who is compassionate, has a heart of gold, and hardworking.

Sarah is currently a student at UNC, where she is studying to become a teacher, and will soon be graduating.

Because of generous donors, Sarah’s dream to continue her internship with Dream Makers has been made a reality! Her internship has been helping her gain experience and build her resume as well as assisting in providing funds for her to live independently.

Sarah has been an excellent intern and shows incredible work ethic, gives great input, and truly cares about getting to make a difference in the lives of fellow former foster youth. We are grateful to have her!

In her own words, “Being an intern for Dream Makers has changed my life for the better ultimately. I’m so glad I pushed myself out of my boundaries. It has made me meet so many wonderful people that I love and care for so much. It has also made me feel like I’m making a difference. I love being able to explain to people and share my story so they know what it’s life for other kids like me that are going through this alone. I love what Dream Makers stands for and I know everyone involved is genuine about the cause.”
