Jamie

Jamie has faced many challenges before and after foster care. The trauma she lived through was only compounded when she was separated from her siblings upon entering foster care. Jamie spent 7 years in foster care before aging out at 18.

Now living in Colorado, Jamie works in a coffee shop and is eager to take the next step in her career. When she reached out to us, she expressed a lack of confidence due to not having the appropriate clothing for interviews. That's where Dream Makers stepped in to make Jamie's dream a reality — providing her with professional attire to feel confident and ready to take on the world.

Jamie's reaction says it all:
"Gratitude is the closest thing to beauty manifested into an emotion. Nothing can express the gratitude I feel in this moment! It’s inspired me to work hard and do better for myself."

We are so proud of Jamie and will be continually cheering her on!

Fulfilling dreams like Jamie's not only meets practical needs, but it also reminds each youth that there are people who care about them, see their worth, and truly believe in them!
