Miahjae dreams of having a safe and reliable car. Not having transportation is one of the biggest barriers standing in the way of her independence and survival. Without a reliable vehicle, simple tasks like commuting to work and running errands become overwhelming and expensive.

She entered foster care at a young age due to instability at home. After a few years in the system, her grandma became her legal guardian, giving her the love and support she needed. In 2021, her grandma passed away, shattering the foundation Miahjae was standing on. She has been struggling and facing obstacles since then and is in need of support.

Miahjae has been staying in hotels while working hard to keep food on the table, hold on to her job and maintain her academic standing as a student. During the week, she’s a full-time student, pursuing her Associate’s Degree in Cybersecurity and working to complete a professional internship. On the weekends, she works part-time at the FedEx airport.

In her own words: “Getting a car would mean so much more than convenience — it would be a lifeline. It would allow me to focus on finishing my internship and securing a stable, higher-paying job. It would give my children safer, more consistent transportation. It would help us take one more step toward the life we’ve been fighting for.”
