Sophia's Dream
Sophia is dreaming of a guitar. Fulfilling this dream provides her with a new guitar and accessories that will allow her to put her energy into something positive and have a healthy coping mechanism. She shared, “I hope that through music I can create a healthy bond with myself and cope in a healthy, happy way.”
Sophia was in and out of the foster care system as a child. She shared this about the challenges of aging out, "I have dealt with recovering from trauma I've endured both in and out of the system.” For her future Sophia said, “I hope to be happy. I hope to live in a house without fear or judgement and to call it my home. I hope to learn to love myself and accept the changes in my life. I want to be good and I want to be better than who I am expected to be.”
Sophia is a kind and caring young lady. Some of her hobbies include journaling and writing songs.
