Jasmine’s Dream
Jasmine is dreaming of a video camera that will allow her to take the next step as a youth advocate.
Jasmine is part of the 3% of former foster youth who make it to college. She was in the system for seven years and graduated with big dreams in her heart, but with very little support to help make those dreams a reality. Through her hard work and resilience, she was able to get into school and is now pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in English. With undying optimism, purpose and resolve, Jasmine is moving forward despite her challenges, and believing in a better future for herself and for the youth she hopes to touch through her videos.
Fulfilling this dream will not only allow Jasmine to make more professional looking advocacy videos, but will help her take a rewarding step towards her dreams of making a difference in the lives of thousands of youth just like her.
