Donovan's Dream
Donovan is dreaming of becoming an X-ray Technician. Fulfilling this dream provides him with the iPad that he needs to complete his education.
He shared, “Growing up in the foster care system, I found myself around healthcare workers often. Their dedication and compassion inspired me deeply, sparking a dream to pursue a career where I can make a difference in the lives of others, just as they did for me. Today, I am applying to X-ray tech school with the goal of inspiring the next generation to strive for greatness, no matter their background. To achieve this, I need tools that will support my learning and help me succeed in my studies.”
Donovan spent almost six years in the foster care system. He faced several significant challenges as he aged out of the system, including homelessness. He shared, “These experiences taught me resilience and the importance of building a strong foundation for my future. They have motivated me even more to create a stable and meaningful career path where I can inspire others facing similar hardships.” Today, he is working as a Marketing Director and attending school.
He likes to spend his free time outdoors enjoying nature. Some of his other hobbies include photography, exercising and sports.
