Ava’s Dream
Ava dreams of an Uber Gift Card. Fulfilling this dream provides Ava with reliable transportation to her college classes and doctor appointments, as well as help with getting groceries and other needed errands.
Ava spent three years in the foster care system and aged out when she turned eighteen. She said that mental health issues have been the biggest challenge as she navigates life independently. Ava is currently attending University full time. She is studying to become a counselor in an elementary or high school. She also shared, “My goal for the future is to be able to get my siblings out of their current homes.”
Ava is proud of herself for finishing high school, and is also proud to now be attending her dream school! She is an avid reader, and also enjoys being with friends and crocheting.
