Susan spent 4 years in foster care before aging out of the system. She is known by her friends as someone who is strong and a great mother to her son.

Susan created a small business of making samosas, handmade Southern Sudanese, that are packed with flavor.

Susan’s dream of having the necessary supplies to sell her samosas at the farmer's market was recently fulfilled! Nicole, our program director, was able to visit her at the farmers market over the weekend to try her delicious treats! The spinach and mushroom samosas were her favorite!

Having the support of others as she ventures into cooking for the public has made such a difference both in personal self-esteem and in financial support. Thank you for continuing to impact youth who have aged out of foster care!
