Michael
Michael’s dream for travel essentials for his study abroad trip to Germany was recently fulfilled, equipping him with what he needs for his new adventure!
Michael hopes to gain a more in-depth sense of other cultures and is specifically interested in how family units work in other cultures. Studies show that travel has a very positive impact on, not only a student’s personal development, but also on a student’s future education and career.
Michael spent over a year in the foster care system before aging out. Michael is a community leader and has been noticed by the Governor of Georgia for his work in the foster care community in Valdosta county. He is currently studying for a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree and works full time for a foster care agency. He says, “I chose not to let my past stop me from helping others who are going through it now.”
We can’t wait to see what all lies ahead for you, Michael!
