Simple Ways to be More Healthy in 2025
We encourage creating a Life Giving List. This is a list of those people, places, or things (activities) that fill you with a sense of hope and remind you that you are loved.
For example, making home-made popcorn on the stove-top, complete with butter and salt, and then sharing it with family or friends is life giving to me. The taste, the smell, the sound of popping corn and then all digging into one bowl and enjoying while we chat makes me feel really alive and profoundly loved by others and by God.
Engaging in this simple activity during the week feeds into my nervous system and helps me stay well amidst the hard. Life-giving activities scheduled into your day can help you reset in healthy ways.

Create Healthy Rhythms
You can take more control of your days and how they make you feel by intentionally adding in your “Life Giving” activities in your schedule. Carve out a special time each day for something that brings you peace, joy or contentment. It can be a simple activity like going for a short walk, organizing your clothes, or writing/drawing in a journal. Not everyone’s activities will look the same. Yours can look like whatever you want – the important part is prioritizing activities that bring you peace.
Here is an example of a calendar that might help inspire you:
Remember the Good Times
When it is the end of the day and you are about to go to sleep, make it a point to think about what went well in your day.
What made you happy or felt like a success? It can be as simple as “I made it to work on time,” Or “I had a laugh with a friend.”
Think about these things before you go to sleep. This can be difficult, at first, and take effort. Don’t allow your mind to dwell on your problems or past hurts. Worrying all night will not fix a thing or bring any solutions. In fact, it is more harmful to your overall health.
Dwell on the good – it is there…you just have to look for it. The more you do this, the more you will see and experience it in your life. You can look at solving your problems in the morning.
