Kay's Dream

Kay dreams of a graduation gift of new clothes.

Kay is graduating, with Honors, from Ohio State University with a major in Social work. She said, “This was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, but God got me through.” When thinking about her future she is most looking forward to serving others.

Having to navigate schooling while enduring trauma is extremely difficult, adding extra layers of challenges on top of the rigorous task of being a student already. Most foster youth are also navigating this journey alone and this is painfully highlighted on milestones like graduations.

At Dream Makers, we believe these young people are created for a purpose, that they have great value, and that they should be seen and celebrated!
