Danielle dreams of a graduation gift of an Amazon gift card for necessities.

Danielle is graduating with a Business Administration degree from San Diego Miramar College. She said, “I faced a lot of challenges mentally, emotionally and some physically. But I’m excited to move on to the next journey in my life.” She is excited to start her career and to share this accomplishment with her siblings. 

Having to navigate schooling while enduring trauma is extremely difficult, adding extra layers of challenges on top of the rigorous task of being a student already. Most foster youth are also navigating this journey alone and this is painfully highlighted on milestones like graduations.

At Dream Makers, we believe these young people are created for a purpose, that they have great value, and that they should be seen and celebrated!
