Alexia's Dream

Alexia is graduating with a Master’s in Social Work from UCLA. She is a first generation college student that overcame many obstacles to reach this point. She said, “The biggest challenge I overcame in order to graduate is removing myself from a toxic household to preserve my mental health and achieve a better future, all while juggling school, internship, and a part-time job.”  For her future, she is most excited to “set a path for the younger generations in my family. I look forward to all the opportunities and blessings that come my way.”
