Shane

Shane’s dream for a new camera of his own was fulfilled! Having a camera has provided him with a creative outlet for self-expression, help to process emotions, build confidence, and improve mental well-being through storytelling and personal reflection.

When Shane turned three years old, he entered the foster care system. He said the biggest challenges have been being able to afford even his basic needs.

He shared, “Since 9th grade, a conversation that has recurred is,’ Where is Shane going to stay once he turns 18?’”

Today he has a place to live and is working hard each day to build a life for himself as he navigates adulthood. He is determined to seek stability and work tirelessly to build a brighter future, refusing to let his past define his potential.

Every dream fulfilled represents an aged-out foster youth that is impacted!
