Ashley

Ashley dreams of completing her Medical Assistant Certification to become a Dialysis Technician. In order to make this dream become a reality, she was in need of scrubs and nurse shoes required for her training. Thanks to a generous donor, Ashley’s needs were fulfilled!

Ashley says, “I’m gonna be completely honest – it really stinks being on your own with no one to help you with college and other things in life. Receiving my dream from Dream Makers helped me because I will be doing medical office in fall of this year and I need my scrubs for it. The best part was that your guys really do care about foster youth and former foster youth.”

Ashley spent 12 years in the foster care system. She felt like she didn’t have a voice and wasn’t able to find the help and support she needed within the system. Currently, she is attending college and working towards her MA Certification. She said, “My dream job would be me helping people and their families with dialysis and making sure that they are healthy for their families.”
