Kijana's Dream

Kijana dreams of a college resource. Fulfilling this dream provides her with the laptop she needs to complete homework assignments, study, and job search. 

Kijana was in and out of the foster care system since she was 8 years old. She recently aged out of the system and is currently attending college with a major in Child Development. Her career goal is to become a social worker. She would like to use her lived experience and education to impact the foster care system.

Kijana’s unique quality is her caring heart for others. She says, “[I have the] ability to help my peers while still supporting and making myself the best I can be.” Some things she enjoys are exercising, painting, and yoga in her free time.
